Operational Safety
Plains Midstream Canada (PMC) is committed to conducting our operations in a manner that ensures the safety and security of the public, our employees and contractors; the safety, security and integrity of our assets; and the protection and stewardship of the environment.
To meet this commitment, PMC has embraced a Health and Safety Management System approach. Our business is complex with many interrelated and dynamic activities requiring a high degree of coordination. Our Health and Safety Management Program is widely regarded across many industries, domestically and internationally, as an effective way to coordinate complex operational activities to ensure expectations are met, risk is managed, and performance is improved.
Our safety management system is the Operations Management System, or “OMS”. It ensures that there is a framework of policies, programs, processes and procedures in place that we use to direct and control our activities to fulfill our commitments and objectives. The OMS guides how we plan, conduct and coordinate operational activities; it is the way we operate.
We continue to develop and implement enhanced systems, programs and processes throughout our organization. We work hard to measurably increase performance as we drive PMC's journey toward Operations Excellence.
